What trim levels are available?
The Tradesman is perhaps the most important trim in the lineup, as it sets the tone for what you can expect throughout the rest of the lineup. This base trim comes with features like a six-speaker stereo, trailer sway damping, 18-inch steel wheels, push-button start, a five-inch touchscreen, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. For anyone who gets the Crew Cab configuration, you’ll also find second-row in-floor storage.
Bumping it up to the next level leaves you with the HFE. This trim was created with efficiency in mind, and adds in a carpeted floor, 20-inch chrome wheels, side steps, low-rolling-resistance tires, and front bucket seats. The fuel economy improves by 1 mpg, which means after a while, you’ll be saving money with this trim.
When you’re looking for something that might come with a few more luxury features, you might want to consider Big Horn. This trim, otherwise known as Lone Star, includes fog lights, 18-inch aluminum wheels, and even a 60/40-split rear seat. Some of its options include an 8.4-inch touchscreen or a 12-inch touchscreen, with both giving you Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. This helps to create a luxurious atmosphere that you can use to the best of your abilities.
We know that power might not always be your first thought with a truck, and many of you are off-roading adventurers that want something that can handle the elements. Well, the Rebel trim provides that for you! This trim, in particular, adds in aggressive styling, so everyone knows what you’re about, four skid plates, and an electronic locking rear axle.
As soon as we move beyond the Rebel trim, the luxury meters start to go off the charts. The Laramie trim gets you leather-trimmed front seats, heated and ventilated front seats, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, a power rear window, power mirrors, 20-inch wheels, and the option to add in safety packages to get you forward collision warning.
Right underneath the top level trim, is Longhorn. This model works hard to make a mark on the lineup with a leather-wrapped wood steering wheel, standard premium-leather bucket seats, and even a spray-in bedliner. The overall look and feel of Longhorn will make you never want to leave it, and will have you start planning longer trips.
The final trim that you can choose with the 2020 Ram 1500 is Limited. This trim comes with many of the features that have already been mentioned but adds in a standard four-corner air suspension, and a snazzy chrome trim. You will love the luxury and comfort available with the Limited trim!
